Novelist Jake Patton's ideal world is turned upside down when a gang of "Crank" addicts rob and murder his parents. The motive is more complicated than it first appears and Jake's thirst for revenge may cost him his life.
The gang is an odd mix of characters led by a misguided Vietnam Veteran and the sadistic husband of Jake's ex-girlfriend.
